Don’t let the grass grow under your feet.
As the daughter of a farmer, I can’t help but look at financial planning through the seasons I know like the back of my hand:
A time to prepare,
a time to plant,
a time to grow,
and a time to harvest.
No matter where you are in your journey, Gleason Financial Group exists to help you seize the moment you’re in with the goal of maximizing your bounty.
Hi, I’m Cindy.
One of the only things in life that’s certain is an uncertain future. It can be a scary thought, but what offers me comfort is the ability to plan financially for life’s “what ifs.”
- What if I live longer than my money?
- What if we have costly medical expenses?
- What if I make an irreversible mistake in my planning?
Let’s build and execute a plan that helps you rest assured, too.
My Qualifications & Experience
I know how hard it can be to know who to trust, so let's review what qualifies me to serve you with excellence. I began a financial planning practice in 1990 in Central Iowa. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, I am a Fiduciary, which is a fancy word that means I am required to put my clients' best interests before those of my firm (it's unfathomable to me to think of operating any other way!).
I hold the Series 7 and Series 63 licenses through LPL Financial, as well as Insurance licenses in several states. I also have significant tax knowledge and adhere to ethical standards while staying current with tax laws and regulations.
I believe education is vital to keeping up with investment trends and opportunities for my clients, so I strive to obtain more than double the continuing education requirements necessary to maintain my certifications.
If you want to go way back, we can talk about my Bachelor of Science degree from Upper Iowa University. Since then, I maintain the following professional certifications/designations:
- CFP® – CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® conferred by the CFP Board of Standards
- ChFC® – Chartered Financial Consultant conferred by The American College
- CDFA™ – Certified Divorce Financial Analyst conferred by the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts
- BFA™ – Behavioral Financial Advisor conferred by Kaplan University
- IRS ENROLLED AGENT – Enrolled Agent conferred by the Depart of the Treasury. Enrolled Agent status is the highest credential the IRS awards.
*Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning, Inc. owns and licenses the certification mark CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® in the United States to Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which authorizes individuals who successfully complete the organization’s initial and ongoing certification requirements to use the certification mark.
We operate on the most valuable principle my father taught me, “Do right for the right reasons,” so we promise to:
Educate
You deserve to understand your options, not be sold a product. That’s why teaching (in everyday language) is central to all services we offer.
Embrace
Our client relationships span generations. So, if you find yourself ending a call with “Love you!” don't worry, it happens all the time!
Evolve
We have been helping for more than three decades. Still, I almost always double the education required to maintain my certifications.

Are your assets being actively managed?
Fundamental analysis uses economic and financial indicators to evaluate a potential investment, while technical analysis uses market data to forecast the direction of the price of an investment.
Technical analysis is more focused. We utilize technical charts to identify the strongest sectors. Every asset has its own technical chart. We concentrate on favored sectors to provide the highest quality assets in your portfolio. Those sectors are regularly monitored to ensure the assets in your portfolio remain at the highest level.
*Because of their narrow focus, investments concentrated in certain sectors or industries will be subject to greater volatility and specific risks compared with investing more broadly across many sectors, industries, and companies.
Let’s take “reap what you sow” to new heights.
Start the conversation so together we can pursue a plentiful harvest.
Plant your seeds in fertile ground.
After developing your goals for the future, we’ll build a plan to use what you have, add what you need, and get where you want to go.
Respond to Mother Nature.
I’ve helped guide clients through all sorts of "weather." I’m here to help prevent what we can and react with a level head to what we can’t.
Enjoy the fruits of your labor!
It’s exciting to think about a day when you only work if you really want to. Let’s get started.
